The women’s soccer team beat Parkside, 7-0. The Cards scored their first goal within the first five minutes of the game.
They followed up with another two goals before the end of the first period. This made the score 3-0, giving The Cards an advantage.
Coming into the second period, The Cards scored two more goals within the first fifteen minutes. By the end of the game, the team scored twice again, and Parkside failed to make a goal at all. The Cards were able to win the game, 7-0.
The team made 24 shots overall, with 14 of those on goal while Parkside only made seven with one on goal.
Junior Sakura Bals led the team, making two of the goals for The Cards. Junior goalkeeper Alyssa Watts made one save, preventing Parkside from scoring throughout the game.
The Cards played again Sunday, Oct. 6 against Purdue Northwest, which concluded prior to this production of The Valley Vanguard. They will play again Friday, Oct. 11, against Ferris State.
