University administrators sent out an email to students on Sept. 25 regarding an off-campus party.
The party, which took place Sept. 19 in Bay County, was linked to 20 new student cases of COVID-19.
Students who attended the party, as well as students who may have been exposed afterward, are being quarantined, the email said. SVSU’s contact tracing team will be monitoring the quarantined students.
The email stated that several student-athletes attended the party. The athletics department has since canceled team activities for affected sports, and the Ryder Center received a deep clean over the weekend.
Students involved with the party have been referred to the Office of Student Conduct.
