Suspicious situation

At 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 17, a 20-year-old female student reported she found a parking citation envelope and a Meijer receipt on the windshield of her vehicle parked in K-Lot. She reported the incident because of previously seeing that this was a way to abduct people for human trafficking and wanted campus officials to be aware.

At 3 a.m. on Feb. 17, a 20-year-old female student called to report a possible attempted abduction. She said she was at a party in Campus Village and drove back to campus to drop off her friends near Living Center Southwest. While standing outside of her car, a male came toward her and told her to come with him back to the party. She got back in the car and drove to J-3 Lot to park and go to her dorm. He followed her there as well and approached again. Another male in the parking lot told him to back off and said she was with him. He then got back into the passenger side of a dark colored Tahoe and left. The student said if that male was not around, she believes she could have been taken.
