Makaylah Roberts, a third-year Secondary Education major, plays as a Middle Hitter for the SVSU Women’s Volleyball Team.
Roberts is going on year two of holding a roster spot on the team and is looking forward to this year’s competitions.
When Roberts made her decision to attend SVSU, the location of the campus, the size of the school and the campus atmosphere all added to her decision-making process.
Her coaches, faculty and teammates support also helped to make her decision with SVSU easy.
Along with this year’s match-ups, “[she’s] most looking forward to making new memories with my team and winning games,” she said.
With tough match ups against rival schools like Grand Valley State University and Ferris State University, the team has struggled. The team, unfortunately, has lost every game this season but they are working hard to get a win under their belt before the season ends.
The women’s volleyball team will look for a win when they take on Michigan Tech University on Oct. 20th, 2023.
