Tyler Scheid, a 5th year student at SVSU plays for the Women’s basketball team. She was offered the spot as a walk on and has enjoyed playing for the team since.
Scheid was offered a walk on spot on the team and chose to play, and as she finished up her academic and athletic career at SVSU she’s feeling grateful for the experiences offered through the program.
When asked what her favorite part of the playing for SVSU was, she responded: “My team is amazing,” she said.
“Playing a sport is extremely hard work but it is super rewarding to be able to be a part of the Saginaw community and represent SVSU.”
As she finishes up her time here at SVSU, she said her goals were to graduate and to enjoy her last semester of playing a competitive sport.
With the Women’s basketball season soon to be starting, Scheid and her teammates have their eye on the prize.
Scheid mentions new faces on the team this year and is looking forward to being able to see them on the court.
The SVSU Women’s Basketball Team starts their season on Oct. 30 at 6 p.m., at their home court, against Alma College.
