Track and Field places third at W-C-W meet

On Feb. 4, SVSU’s women’s track and field team came in third at the W-C-W Tri meet against Northern Michigan and Wayne State University.

Freshman Trinity Greer won second in the 300-meter with a time of 40.83 seconds.

Sophomore Kailee Sandoval won the one mile run for SVSU with a time of 5:14.87.

Junior Angelina Delbosque won both the 55-and 200-meter race. She finished with times of 7.33 and 25.95, respectively.

The meet ended with a win for SVSU in the 4-by-400 team. The team consisted of Junior Cassandra Campbell, Senior Kelsey Landra, Freshman Taylor Moyer, and Greer.

Campbell, Hannah Schroeder, and Sophomore Grace Collett placed in the 55-meter hurdles. Sophomore Sophia Thelen and Freshman Mallory Farmer added to SVSU’s score with the 400-meter run.

Freshman Makayla Fuerst placed in the 600-meter race while Sandoval also placed in the 800-meter run.
