Suspicious situation
On April 7 at 5:35 p.m., officers took a suspicious situation report from a student. The student stated that they heard another student yelling at their professor in Brown Hall. The incident has been turned over to student conduct.
On April 9 at 11:49 a.m., officers spoke with a female resident in the police department lobby for someone tampering with their gas tank. The student did not believe there was any damage but wanted to document the incident if something in her vehicle were to break.
Impound
On April 8 at 9:43 a.m., officers assisted SVSU Parking Services with impounding a vehicle for failure to pay tickets. The vehicle was impounded and the owner was notified.
On April 11 at 1:56 p.m., officers assisted SVSU Parking Services with impounding a vehicle for failure to pay parking citations. The vehicle was impounded and the owner was notified.
On April 12 at 10:37 a.m., officers assisted SVSU Parking Services with impounding a vehicle in D-Lot for failure to pay outstanding parking citations. The vehicle was impounded.
Intoxication
On April 10 at 3:38 a.m., officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked in parking lot H. Two subjects were sitting in the vehicle talking. The driver of the vehicle appeared to be intoxicated. The driver was put through field sobriety tests and given a PBT. It was determined the student was too intoxicated to drive. Both subjects were given a ride home from another student
Larceny
On April 9 at 3:18 p.m., officers spoke with a resident about their stolen laundry. The student believes their laundry was taken from a laundry room in the University Village. Some of the stolen laundry was found in a dumpster on campus.
Property damage
On April 11 at 11:58 a.m., officers took a report for a damaged vehicle from a resident. The resident stated they found someone had tried to get into their vehicle some time the previous night. The door was damaged to the vehicle but nothing was taken. This case is under investigation.
Hit and run
On April 12 at 5:53 p.m., officers filed a hit and run property damage report from a student. The suspect fled the scene.
