Larceny
At 10:15 a.m. Mar. 19, the university police were notified of a missing table from Starbucks. The table was unable to be located.
Threat
At 3:49 p.m. Mar. 20, Covenant Med Express requested police. After speaking with the staff, it was determined no threats were made, but they did not want the non-student back on the premises.
Destruction of Property
At 4:19 a.m. Mar. 22, Officers were patrolling campus when they noticed damage to landscape between J1 and J2 lots. The damage appeared to have been caused by a vehicle driving on the sidewalk. Approximately 50 feet south of the damage there was a bumper with a license plate still attached. The vehicle was found at Campus Village and impounded.
Breaking and Entering
At 9:48 p.m. Mar. 29, Students in UV West called dispatch to investigate a breaking and entering in progress. Per dispatch, the caller and the roommate locked themselves in a room upstairs because they heard footsteps downstairs and upstairs. The caller told the dispatch that the officer could enter through the patio door. No one else was located in the apartment.
Marijuana
At 3:23 a.m. Apr. 4, there was a suspicious vehicle parked in F lot. Upon arriving on the scene, officers noticed there was no plate on a blue/grey Buick LeSabre. Upon contacting the SVSU Student, they detected a strong odor or marijuana and observed the driver’s eyes were glossy and bloodshot. The incident was handled by Student Code of Conduct.
Domestic Violence
At 6:15 p.m. Apr. 19, an on-campus resident notified dispatched about a domestic assault happening in the UV West. She was located and it was discovered that she had been choked by her boyfriend which left marks on her neck. The non-student suspect was located at a different location and arrested for domestic violence.
Suspicious Situation
At 1:37 a.m. Aug. 18, a resident director reported a conversation with an on-campus resident. An unknown male was trying to open her backdoor. The resident student was located and highly intoxicated and was transported back to his dorm.
Marijuana
At 12:04 a.m. Aug. 8, Officers were dispatched to a 23-year-old resident student’s dorm for an odor of marijuana. They were unable to remove the marijuana from campus. The marijuana was voluntarily turned over and placed into safe keeping for proper destruction.
Contraband
At 11:25 p.m. Aug. 29, a resident on-campus was in possession of knives. Officers were dispatched to MJB where they confiscated two jackknives and a vape pen. The incident was handed over to Student Conduct.
