The men’s and women’s Cardinal swim teams traveled to the University of Findlay on Saturday, Oct. 19, to face off against the Oilers. The men’s team was victorious. The women’s team suffered a different fate, as it lost to the Oilers in a close meet.
Head coach Bruce Zimmerman said he was proud of his team’s performances.
“The women lost to Findlay for only the second time in program history,” Zimmerman said. “Our men remain undefeated against them. Findlay’s facility is a tough facility to compete in, and they definitely had the home team advantage. We need to get back to work and get ready for our next meet.”
Erin McDowell and Jayden Hutchinson were first in the 200 backstroke.
Both Cardinal swim teams will be off next weekend as they prepare for their meet on Saturday, Nov. 2, against Northern Michigan University.
