The Black Excellence Ball debuted for the first time at SVSU on Thursday, Feb. 19, in the Curtiss Hall banquet rooms as a free event open to all students. This podcast interview was recorded the following week on Feb. 23 with senior communications major Mariah Baker, the founder of the event.
