Brynne Degenkold, third year Secondary Education Integrated Science and senior event planner for the Program Board was happy to talk more about the Pinterest Night that occurred on Tuesday, January 23rd.
“This Tuesday’s Pinterest Night is Frame Painting & Friendship Bracelet themed so we will be painting frames and there will be beads to make bracelets and other various materials to decorate.” Degenkold said. “We are collaborating with Cardinal’s Version which is a super cool Taylor Swift themed RSO here at SVSU.”
Pinterest Night is a recurring series of events put on by Program Board, a student-led event hosting organization on SVSU’s campus, and is one of PB’s most popular programming series: allowing students to create crafts seen online.
When asked about how the collaboration occurred, she mentioned her conversations with Cardinal’s Version founder, Jamie MacArthur, and how she [Degenkold] “hope[s] to spread the word about Cardinal’s Version since they are a fairly new RSO and with Taylor Swift being very popular right now it could be a fun group to be a part of if you are a Swiftie or not. At this event, I am looking forward to seeing some of my regular attendees and hopefully some new faces!”
Regarding the semester upcoming, Degenkold mentioned how the “semester brings so many new and fun crafts that I am excited for everyone to create!”
When asked what she was most excited for, she replied: “I can’t wait for Pinterest Nights to start back up this semester and I hope to see some newcomers who want to come craft with us!”
