Advertisement for fake ID found in SVSU dormitory

On Feb. 14, officers received an email from an SVSU resident director stating someone had slid an advertisement for a fake ID under their door on Feb. 9.

False fire alarm at Living Center Southwest

On Feb. 18, officers responded to a fire alarm at Living Center Southwest, which was determined to be a prank. The case was handed over to student conduct.

Larcenies of catalytic converters in J-lots

Between Feb. 19 and Feb. 22, officers investigated several cases of larceny involving catalytic converters in the J-lots. The officers have identified a suspect vehicle and a suspect and are continuing their investigation.

Roommate dispute in Living Center South

On Feb. 20, officers were called to respond to a roommate dispute at Living Center South. The roommates were referred to Residential Life to resolve their conflict.

Suspicious person reported in University Village West

On Feb. 20, a resident student at University Village West reported to officers that they were followed to their dorm room by an unknown male. The male left before the officers arrived and they were unable to locate him upon searching the area. The case was investigated by Detective Ryan Persails with the help of outdoor cameras, but no suspect was found.

Circuit boards reported missing from Pioneer classroom

On Feb. 14, an SVSU professor reported to officers that eight circuit boards were missing from a classroom in Pioneer. The case is currently under investigation.

Stove fire in University Village 410

On Feb. 21, officers were called to respond to a stove fire in University Village 410. Upon arrival, they found that the fire had already been put out. Kochville Fire and Rescue took the report, while SVSU maintenance staff removed the stove and began the process of replacing it.

Non-SVSU student trespassed from campus

On Feb. 22, officers investigated a roommate dispute between SVSU resident students and found that a non-SVSU student had been staying in the room for longer than permitted. Both the student and the non-SVSU individual were uncooperative, and the non-SVSU student was banned from the campus.
