Police briefs are written based on reports from University Police. They indicate preliminary descriptions of events and not necessarily actual incidents.
Threat
On Mar. 14 at 2:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to University Village for a wellbeing check on a resident male student. The student wanted to report a threatening text message. He reported that after transporting several other students to spring break in Florida they had failed to pay him for expenses. He left them and returned to Michigan. He then started to receive threatening texts from the students and their relatives. All parties were spoken to and agreed to stop the threats.
