SVSU student tests positive for COVID-19

An SVSU student has tested positive for COVID-19, according to an email sent by University Communications on April 8.

The student is currently residing on campus in a single unit and has been self-isolating since April 1. The email states that SVSU was notified about the student last night, April 8. The student has not had contact with anyone for seven days, it states.

Standard protocol is being following, and the Saginaw County Health Department and other health care providers are working with the student to notify those who may have come it contact with the student, the email states.

SVSU will continue monitoring the student’s progress.
